Privacy, data and removal
What's public, what we keep, and how to remove your record.
Is my data safe? What am I making public?
You can choose which optional details to show. You can hide contact and location details, fix your record or remove it. We use the social platform’s own sign-in page. We never ask for or see your password. We do not make face or voice patterns to identify you. Your record is public. Please check what you are happy to share and keep your login details safe. Removing it takes it off OCG. We cannot erase copies held by other services. Our Privacy Policy explains what data we keep: https://www.sparkonomy.com/legal/privacy-policy
Will my phone number or email be shown to everyone?
Your phone number appears only if you add it and choose to show it. Before you claim, a work email may appear if you already put it in your public bio. After you claim, each contact field has a show or hide choice. You can also choose “Reach me on social”.
Can someone dangerous use this to find me?
We understand why this matters. We do not publish your home address or private contact details unless you choose to share contact details. Location is limited to city and country, and you can hide those too. Please review your record and remove or hide anything you do not want shown.
Can I hide where I live but still be on the Graph?
Yes. You can hide your city and country. You can also leave them out. Each optional field has its own show or hide choice.
Does OCG hold my personal data, my face or voice, or just my AI preferences?
OCG holds public identity data, not just AI choices. This can include your name, social handles and public facts about you. A photo can appear after you claim the record and approve it. We do not make or store faceprints or voiceprints. These are patterns used to identify someone by matching their face or voice. OCG does not build that kind of identification model. The usual claim process checks your social account, not government ID.
How do I delete this page?
Check your email or mobile number, then sign in with the social account on the record. Choose “Remove record”. The page and its public contact details come down right away. We send you an email to confirm. Your Sparkonomy account and social sign-in remain until you delete them too. The email shows you where to do that. We keep a small private marker so our system does not rebuild the removed record. You cannot undo a removal, but you can make a fresh record later. If you cannot sign in, use the Remove this record page to ask for help. If only a fact is wrong, you can correct it instead.
Is removing my record the same as deleting my Sparkonomy account?
No. Removing the record takes down the public page. We keep a small private marker so it is not rebuilt. That marker cannot recreate the record. Deleting your Sparkonomy account is a separate step. The Privacy Policy allows 60 days to recover it before account data is permanently deleted. We cannot erase copies held by other services. https://www.sparkonomy.com/legal/privacy-policy
Can a Creator be removed from the Graph and stay removed, permanently?
Yes. The removed record stays down. A small private marker stops our system from rebuilding it. We cannot remove copies another service already holds. You can choose to create a fresh record later.
What data do you keep after I remove my record?
The public record and its contact details come down. We keep a small private marker so our system does not rebuild it. That marker does not contain the removed public record. Your Sparkonomy account and social sign-in remain until you choose to delete them. Deleting them is a separate step in account settings. The Privacy Policy explains retention and the account-deletion recovery period.
Can I get a copy of everything Sparkonomy holds about me?
Your public record shows what we publish about you. We also keep some private data, such as your checked email or mobile number, platform account IDs, hidden fields and change logs. Removing a record does not delete your Sparkonomy account or sign-in data. For details about access to your data, see the Privacy Policy: https://www.sparkonomy.com/legal/privacy-policy
Who can I contact about my data?
Yes. Sparkonomy has a Data Protection Officer. Their current contact details are in the Privacy Policy: https://www.sparkonomy.com/legal/privacy-policy
Why can you publish a record before someone asks for one?
Our Privacy Policy explains the legal basis for each market. In Singapore, India and California, it describes rules for publicly available information. In the EU and UK, it describes “legitimate interests”, a legal basis for certain uses of data. OCG starts with public information. You can claim, correct or remove the record. Read the policy for the full details: https://www.sparkonomy.com/legal/privacy-policy
Why do you create records before people sign up?
We build starting records from information already public. This can help Creators who do not yet know how search or AI describes them. Each fact has a source label. You can claim the record, fix errors, set AI choices or remove it for free. Until it is claimed, no AI terms are declared. We never treat silence as permission.
How is this different from a scraping operation with better design?
OCG gives you a record you can claim and manage. You can fix errors, set AI choices or remove it. Facts are labelled so people can see what was checked, found in a source or stated by you. A removed record is not rebuilt by our system.
How do you handle privacy rules in different countries?
Our approach is to use only the data we need, explain why we use it, and make correction and removal simple. We do not sell personal data. The Privacy Policy explains how the rules apply in each market: https://www.sparkonomy.com/legal/privacy-policy
Do you sell, license or share this data with anyone?
We do not sell personal data. If you choose Conditional, you can offer permission on your own terms. That is your choice, not Sparkonomy selling your identity. Public records can be read and used under the Graph’s access rules. The Privacy Policy explains other data sharing.
What happens if the police or government ask for data?
Public record information is available to everyone. For other requests, we follow the law that applies. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle data and legal requests: https://www.sparkonomy.com/legal/privacy-policy
What if a wrong record causes a problem for me?
We’re sorry if an error has caused a problem. Please use Correct this record and tell us what is wrong. Our team checks reports against the sources. If the record is about the wrong person, we may hold it back while we check. A claimed-record owner can also sign in and correct their own details.
What if I became known online but am not a Creator?
OCG is for people who create as part of an active public presence. It is not meant for a private person who suddenly goes viral. Private accounts and accounts with little public activity are generally not included. If that has happened to you, please ask us to correct or remove the record. We will look into it.
Who checks your facts? How often are they wrong?
Each fact has a label showing how it is supported. A claimed-record owner can sign in and fix their details at once. Other people can use Correct This Record. Our systems and team review those reports before changing the record.
