Can I and my AI artist have different AI choices?

Yes, if they are separate public identities with separate records. Each can have its own AI choices. These do not create separate rights to songs, recordings or artwork. If the artist uses a voice based on yours, explain that link clearly. Separate records do not make the two voices unrelated.
