Who we are, how we make money, and where we're headed.

Why did Sparkonomy build OCG, and why now?

AI can copy a face or voice and still get facts about the person wrong. Creators need a way to say who they are and what they allow. OCG brings accounts, facts and AI choices into one public record. You can set your choices before a problem happens, without a technical or legal team.

How does Sparkonomy make money if OCG is free?

Sparkonomy plans to offer paid AI services to help Creators run their businesses. Those services will be optional. OCG works on its own and stays free.

Do I have to buy something else to use OCG?

You can use OCG on its own, for free. You do not need another Sparkonomy product to claim, manage or remove your record. Future paid services are optional. Buying them is not a condition of keeping your record.

What stops this becoming a paid discovery product later?

Our commitment is that the core record stays free. Claiming, managing, setting AI choices and removing it remain free. You do not need to buy another service.

Is OCG only for India?

OCG is for Creators around the world. India is an important market, but the product is not limited to India. Sparkonomy is based in Singapore.

Which countries do you expect to use OCG first?

India is an important early market for us. OCG is available globally. We are not publishing a ranking of countries by use.

What are the founders' backgrounds?

Guneet Singh, Megha Thareja Tyagi and Vipasha Joshi are the co-founders. They bring experience from Google, YouTube and work with Creators. Read more: https://www.sparkonomy.com/about

What experience led the founders to start Sparkonomy?

The founders saw Creators running real businesses with little help. Guneet helped build YouTube’s business in Asia and show brands the value of Creators. Megha worked in identity, payments and small-business growth. Vipasha worked directly with Creators while building Jellysmack’s India business. They started Sparkonomy to give Creators better business support. OCG is the first step: a place to say who you are and how AI may use your identity.

What comes next for Sparkonomy after OCG?

We plan to build optional AI services that help Creators run and grow their businesses. OCG is the first product. We will share details of future products when they are announced.

How do you plan to improve OCG?

We aim to cover more Creators, improve the records and help more AI systems use them. These are goals, not promised launch dates.

Do you have a target for how many Creators will use OCG?

We are not sharing a number target. We launched with about a million Creator records and add more every day. In the first week, records were claimed and created from nine countries.

Where can I find funding and investment news?

We will share funding and investment news in the Press and Blog section of Sparkonomy’s website. Please check there for public updates.

How big is the opportunity?

There are different ways to measure the Creator economy: • Adobe’s 2022 study estimated 303 million Creators, using a broad definition. • Goldman Sachs estimated a $250 billion market in 2023. It forecast $480 billion by 2027. • The 2025 BCG report for WAVES estimated that Creators influence $350–400 billion of spending a year in India. It forecast over $1 trillion by 2030. These figures measure different things. A forecast is an estimate of the future. None of these figures is OCG revenue or the number of OCG users.

Does a growing Creator market mean everyone earns more?

Not always. More Creators and more total spending do not mean everyone earns more. Income differs by Creator, type of work and source of earnings.

Why is it hard to link a Creator’s accounts across platforms?

Creators use many platforms, which can make it hard to tell which accounts belong to the same person. OCG helps with that first step. It does not handle every task, such as contracts, payments or campaign reports.

How do brands judge the results of Creator campaigns?

We see brands looking beyond views to results such as visits and sales. OCG does not measure campaign results, audience details or brand safety.

How do Creators make money today, beyond brand deals?

Creators can earn from brand deals, ads, sales links, paid memberships, tips, services, their own businesses and licensing. Licensing means letting someone use work or identity under agreed terms. Each Creator’s income mix is different.

Can AI help Creators earn money? Does OCG promise income?

AI may bring paid uses of a Creator’s voice, face or avatar, with permission. OCG helps people find the Creator and their terms. It does not set a price or promise income. The Creator and the other party need to agree on the use and payment.

What feedback are Creators giving you? Have you tested the product?

Early feedback has been positive. Creators want a simple way to state their choices without learning technical skills. One said: “We shouldn’t have to become AI experts just to protect our identity and work.” Another asked for “real ownership over their identity and how their work is surfaced to the world.” Creators also tell us their identity is more than their posts. It includes their business, community and reputation. One early user called OCG “exactly what the creator economy world truly needs.” These are early reactions, not measured results. The shared need is simple: this is me, and these are my choices for AI.

How many records exist, how many are claimed, and will you publish that split?

We launched with about a million Creator records and are adding more every day. In the very first week, we’ve had records claimed and created from nine countries.

What happens to all of this if Sparkonomy is acquired or shuts down?

If OCG stops running as a free public resource, we will release its public record content under CC BY-SA 4.0. This is an open licence that requires shared versions to stay under the same licence. Hidden details and removed records are excluded. The licence covers Sparkonomy’s database and editorial work. It does not give away the rights of the people in it.

Can I quote or cite a specific record in an article?

Yes. Name OCG as the source and link to the live record. Keep each fact’s label—Verified, Sourced or Stated—so readers know how it was supported. A live link lets readers see later updates.
